The prodigal returns. I was given the first three books in “The Warrior Kind” series and liked them so much I purchased the fourth. Again I loved it. The books have not dwindled or repeated the same stories over and over with different scenery. The story continues with most of the same characters. Plenty of action, suspense and romance. Clean sci fi/fantasy written from a Christian perspective. Looking forward to the next book that I hear should be out soon. Still some editing issues, but worth the small amount of trouble. I enjoyed the story line so much that I am still giving it 5 stars despite the issues. Good for teens and up.

Book Review for “A Warrior’s Legacy” – Christian Science Fiction/Fantasy
Guy Stanton III has done the almost impossible, he has continued a series where things jut keep getting better! Loved book three of “The Warrior Kind” series. I was given the first three books in exchange for an honest review. I liked all so much that I have purchased the remaining book as well as one in his other series. Even though there are some grammatical errors, and part of the story is told in the first person, while other parts are not, I still have to give five stars. I pretty much read this one straight through. Wonderful new world and creatures, great Sci fi and fantasy all wrapped up from a Christian view point. Faith, family and perseverance are the main themes of these books. Enough action and battle for the guys, with enough romance for the girls! Teens and up for my reading recommendation.

5/5 Star Review
“This was such a fun easy read! I loved the story line, and all the characters, and how it dealt with some tough issues of the past. It was so refreshing to read a love story that didn’t have all the sexual innuendos most books have. It was very clean so I know I can recommend this book to anyone, even my grandma, and know she will love it!”
Book Review for “Jewel of Hiram” -Fiction
I was given a copy of “Jewel of Hiram” by the Author, Frank Felton, in exchange for an honest review. This book was packed with U.S. History, (including Masonic lore), as well as mystery. Hidden treasure and hidden agendas abound in this story. I have to admit I got a little confused in a couple of places, but it all came together as the story progresses. Warning: Written by a Christian, but there is some swearing, including taking God’s name in vain. Also it quotes some books as part of the bible, but that are not part of the biblical canon. For these reasons I give it 3 stars. I read it as fiction, as it was intended and I liked it. His characters, though flawed are the kind you can root for. Frank Felton has a good writing style and the story kept me going despite the differences in our beliefs. I do intend to read the rest of the series as they come out.
Book Review for “Through the Psalms with Derek Prince”- Devotional
I so loved this book. Derek Prince is one of my favorite authors. I have read many of his books. Not one of them deserved less than 5 stars, including “Through the Psalms with Derek Prince”. This one was a devotional. I usually have trouble with those as I want to read them through like a novel. But I did so much better with this one reading only one or two entries at a time. Each one is only two pages and the book is small, so not a ton of reading, but each one is packed with spiritual truth! He takes us through several Psalms to encourage and challenge us in our walk with God. Recommended for any age. It also makes a great gift!
Book Review for “Talon’s Test and the Shield of Faith” – Christian Sci Fi
I was given a copy of “Talon’s Test and the Shield of Faith” by the author, Nicholas Downing, in exchange for an honest review. I happen to love sci fi, every since I was a child. Very little is out there with a Christian viewpoint. This one is full of biblical phrases, and morals. It’s like reading some of the stories of the old testament if it had happened in the future where there is life on other planets. There is a military element, romance, fighting scenes (that reminded me a lot of Louis L’amour books) and non-human life forms. Good writing. A very fun read. I give this book five stars. It is definitely clean enough for all ages.
