Between the Land and the Sea is a well written “fairytale” that includes love, fashion, surfing and mermaids. Derrolyn Anderson has done a fine job of merging fact and fiction into a wonderful story. I loved this book. I am not sure if it was intended for YA, but it is certainly suitable, nothing inappropriate here, very clean writing. This isn’t a typical cheesy romance. Loved the main character of Marina, and I appreciated that the leading man is a hard working young person. I will definitely be reading more from this author. I give this book 5 stars.

Book Review for “Alexios, Before Dying”
I was given a copy of this book by the author, Chance Maree, for an honest review. The very first page grabbed my attention and I liked the book from the start. The characters, a little girl, Velia Gray, and The Magician, were also likeable from the start. I enjoyed the first couple of chapters; the author does a good job with the way she writes of getting you sucked into the story. Then about half way, I started to lose some interest, then things got weird and by the end the story totally lost me. The only way to describe it is like a disjointed dream, you know the ones that get weirder as they go, but feels really real. If you like “New Age”, “Spirit Walking”, “Out of Body Experience”, or philosophy, you would probably like the story. I think it is for more “enlightened” minds than mine. I had originally offered to read a Sci Fi book that she had written and she thought I would enjoy this one better. I wish I had read her book description first. I give the book 3 stars because the book is well written. Just not my cup of tea.
Book Review for “Steward”
I was given this book by the author, Christopher Shields, for an honest review. LOVED IT! I just finished reading The Steward; I grew up reading fairytales and love them. I now enjoy a good fantasy book (as well as other genres) and this is one of the best I’ve read. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. The author makes his character very real. I loved the main character, Maggie. Like every good ‘fairytale’ it has the ‘true love’ element as well! Did I mention I loved it? Well, I did. I recommend this book for YA and for us adults as well. I give this book 5+ stars.
Review for “Shadows Gray: Volume 1”
Shadows Grey is a timetraveling story with a twist. Just loved the book. Melyssa Williams is a new author for me and I can’t say enough about her writing style. She had me on the egde of my seat through the whole book. Great fantasy, love the main character. Not a fairytale princess!! Since I love history, this one was even extra special. Looking forward to reading the next two! I give this book 5 stars.
Review for “Deliverence”
I was given this book by the author, Ash Krafton, in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book. It tells the story of how simple faith is preferable to making things fit our expectations and desires. The people of Granite Clearing once gave their devotion to the “All-Father” but now have divided their God into dozens of separate “gods”. One man wants to put things right. My only complaint is that it was too short! Planning on reading more by this author. I recomend for teens and up. A great read. I give this book 5 stars.
Once a people devoted to the All-Father, the citizens of Granite Clearing have divided their God into dozens of separate aspects. His religion splintered almost beyond recognition, Thallon sets out on a pilgrimage to seek divine assistance. How can one old man change an entire religion torn asunder?
Review for “Wreckless”
I was asked to read this by the author, Savannah Randolph, for an honest review. My honest review is that I loved it. I loved the characters, the storyline, and the dialogue, a Romance that is a little edgy. It would make a great movie. I will definitely be looking for more by this author. I give this book 5 stars!
