Book number three in the series and they just keep getting better. We find out much more about Willows past in this book with hints at some interesting relationships in book four. I love these books. The characters are interesting, the writing is simple and easy to read. These have been great reads so far. I give Book three in the “Elderberry Croft” series five stars. Good job Becky Doughty. I can recommend these books to any age, though all of the characters are over 30 (mostly seniors). No swearing or sexual content. I also have to say I love the covers!

Book Review for “Journey into the Deep”- Christian Fiction
Guy Stanton III has begun a new series “Water Wars” with “Journey into the Deep.” I have to say there are still some grammar and editing issues with Guy’s writing, but again I must also say the writing is good. The story line is interesting and from an unapologetic Christian view. Guy’s characters are flawed and his writing never comes across as preachy. Good for men and women as it includes action, fighting, and romance. In this story a treasure hunter with a death wish finds more than he wants to in a strange artifact. I give it 4 stars. Didn’t love this one, but I liked it and it was a good read. I am sure I will read the rest of the series as I have read all of the other two series. Just a warning, if you like your Christian fiction without talk of passion, killing, and or imperfect people, these books aren’t for you. However, if you like it to be real…
Book Review for “Me and Georgette”- Regency Fiction
What a fun read! I like Regency Romance and this one was not your typical storyline. A modern, 21st century Jewish career woman is thrown into the past. What a mixed up event. If you like Regency, you’ll love it. I give it 4 stars. I really liked it. I was given a copy of this book, by Story Cartel, in exchange for an honest review. I can recommend this to everyone. No sexual content and no swearing.
Book Reivew for “Maebown (Weald Fae Journals #4)- Fantasy/Fiction
Loved it. Weald Fae Journals are all about modern day “fairies” (they prefer to be called Fae) and their interaction with humans. Specifically the O’Shea family. The final book! It was great. Much more battles and strategy, so if that isn’t your thing you may think it is a little boring in places. I actually like that stuff. The characters have held their own through the whole series. I still love the main character. A strong young woman, less that perfect, with a fierce loyalty to friends and family. I give it 5 stars. Great fantasy writing. Jr. High and up. No sexual content, mild swearing. I think there might have been a bit more of that in this last book.
Book Review for “The Janus Effect”- Fiction/Drama
I really liked “The Janus Effect.” I probably would have given it five stars, but the ending was a bit anti-climatic. Good story, the characters are likable and there is plenty of suspense. The writing style is easy to read and flows well. I will be reading more by this author. 4 stars from me. For high school age and up.
Book Review for “Prophetic Guide to the End Times” – Christian Non Fiction
I love Derek Prince to begin with and have read several of his books. I had to read this one for a college class and I can’t begin to say how grateful I am that I read it. We can all agree that things are looking shaky these days, and this book gives us hope for facing the future. God has a plan and as always His plan for His children in an expected (good) end. I recommend for all Christians. I give it 5 stars.
Book Review for “Planet Bound”- Science Fiction
I was given a copy of “Planet Bound” by the author, A. Marie Dinsmore, in exchange for an honest review. I liked the book. I would have liked the story better if the characters were a little more rounded. Also we are introduced to so many that have little or no part to play other than showing that they feel rejected, which is a common theme in this book. Potential for a good story. The storyline itself is interesting. Human kind is on a quest to find habitable planets. Tough female lead. I liked it. I give it three stars. High School age and up. Some language.
