I was given a copy of this book by the author, Ashley O’Melia, in exchange for an honest review. I love fantasy, and this one was no exception. It is fun, cute, and will continue with the series (as they continue to be written). I can recommend it to all ages. No swearing, no sexual content, but lots of dragon fun, with a little romance thrown in as well. Great writing, characters are very likable. I give it five stars!

Book Review for “Chronicles of Casaara”-Fantasy/Fiction

I received a copy of this book from Story Cartel, in exchange for an honest review. Great fantasy! This book reminds me a little of Sinbad, as the main character has several smaller quests that end up in a herculean effort to save the world. The main character is a strong female, and the secondary characters are champions, guardians, an old woman, and a youth. Good writing, reads like Lord of the Rings, good versus evil. I really liked it. I give Chronicles of Casaara 4 stars. Good for teens and up. No swearing and no sexual content.

Book Review for “Tesla”-YA Steampunk

I was given a copy of “Tesla” by the author, Mark Lingane, in exchange for an honest review. I so loved this book! It was the funnest (I know not a real word) read this whole summer. It is cyberpunk meets steampunk, literally. It is filled with tongue-in-cheek humor, all the excitement you expect from killer cyborgs, all from the point of view of a tween boy and a teen girl. I will probably read this one again. No sexual content, some mild swearing. I can recommend this to ages 14 and up. Now, I’ll have to try to be patient as this is only the first in a series.

Book Review for “Legacy”-YA Fantasy

I was given a copy of Legacy by the author, through Story Cartel, in exchange for an honest review. This was a great fantasy. I am very sad that I have to now wait for the other books to be written! This story sucks you in right away. Two worlds, one future America, the other a mediaeval bio dome, where the second generation occupants have never witnessed modern technology. The main characters are well rounded, the sarcastic cyperpunk, the old school big brother and his sister that live in the bio dome, and several secondary characters that come into play. There is mystery, romance, quite a bit of humor. I loved it! Mild swearing, no sexual content. Good for ages 14 and up. Did I mention I loved the cover too!

Book Review for “Judge”-Christian Fantasy

Great Christian fiction and fantasy!! I loved both the first book “Prophet” and now book two “Judge.” These allegories tell of the life of a prophet and those who give their lives to the “infinite.” Set in a medieval setting with swords, kings, lords, and servants, “Judge” continues the story of a young prophet and the man who loves her. You will see a retelling, in a new way, of some stories from the bible, such as: Jonah and the fish, and some of Elijah’s, and Jeremiah’s stories. R.J. Larson is one of a new favorites of mine. Fun fantasy, yet still a good message. Great for teens and up, no swearing and no sexual content. I give it 5+ stars.

Book Review for “Earth Dweller”-YA Dystopian Fantasy

Last book! “The Earth Dwellers” finishes off two series by David Estes: “The Dwellers” and “The Country” sagas. It all comes to and end in this one book with all of your favorite characters, at least the ones who lived through the adventures. I love these books. They are well written, quirky and funny, yet serious and thought provoking at the same time. Dystopian at it’s best. Great for ages 13 and up as there is no swearing (other than some made up words) and no sex. Strong loyalty and morals, lots of action, including violence and fighting. There is some romance, not cheesy or sappy at all. I am sad to see the story end and was thrilled with the free short stories at the end. Great Job! 5 solid stars!(

Book Review for “Prophet”-Christian Fiction/Fantasy

So loved this book! I purchased it long ago and it has been sitting in my kindle. Had I known how great it was going to be a would have read it earlier. One of the best Christian fantasy I have read. This is a fiction/allegory that just impressed upon me how good God is and how much authority we really have, if we would only use it. Prophet has all the elements of a good fantasy, swords, intrigue, supernatural, and some romance. There is heart touching scenes, battle scenes, humorous dialogue, what more could you ask. Oh, I forgot the best part, no swearing or sex! Great for teens on up. I give it 5+ stars. Though it is the first in a trilogy, it can be read as a stand alone. I for one am moving right on to the next book.
