Review for “Daughter of the King”

I was given this book by the author, Carlene Havel, in return for an honest review. This was a great story, based in the Bible, about King David’s first wife, Michal. It
was a nice version that fills in the parts that are lacking in the story found in the Bible. I found the Character of Michal to be
realistic and liked the look of what it might have been like to share a husband
with several wives. I was given this book by the author for an honest review.
My opinion is that this is a good read. I recommend it to anyone who loves
Christian Fiction with strong female characters. I give this book 4 Stars.

Review for “Why She Left Us”

I was given this book by the author, David Dennis, to review. The story is written in the form of journal entries by several different characters. I have to admit that at first I wasn’t realy paying attention to the dates of the journals and got myself pretty confused, but once I backed up and started paying attention, it all made sense. The diary format was an interesting way to tell the story. This type of story isn’t my favorite, the ones that show the dark side of human nature, the writing style was good, the use of the diary to give us a picture of the characters was also wonderful. There was definately adult content, swearing and some sexual content, but nothing real explicit. I think if you like this type of storyline, you’ll love the book. I “liked” the story, but couldn’t love it. I give this book 3 stars. (I am quite confident that it will get alot of 5 star ratings).

Book Reviews

I am an avid reader. I love reading most genres except horror (sorry if you are a horror fan!). Most of the books I read include some type of romance, but that is not a prerequisite of a book that I read. Though I am a Christian, I do not limit myself to Christian works. I will not read a book that contains anti-Christian themes, or explicit sex. If you would like me to review your book, please contact me. I leave reviews on Amazon, Goodreads and all of the social networks that I participate in.
My reviews:
5 stars-I loved it! Will recommend to friends. (Will probably read it again, will definitely follow the author)
4 stars-It was great! Will recommend to friends. (Will probably follow the author)
3 stars-I enjoyed the book. Will recommend to friends.
2 stars-I didn’t like it.
1 star-couldn’t finish the book. (Didn’t hold my attention, too many mistakes, poor writing, or not my taste in lit)
I hope this page will help authors promote their work, and readers find their next favorite!

First Publication-Savage Love

I always wanted to write. As a small child, my imagination ran wild. I’d rather read than eat, write than play sports, and if you ever played with me, there were large storylines, costumes and lines to recite! Life though, tends to run away with us and I just recently finished my first book and chose to self publish with Createspace. I am proud of my first work, and am at a place in my life where there is time to dream, create and put it all on paper.

Savage Love:
Daffyd thought that he had it all, fame and fortune, good looks, and the life he had always dreamed of. Now, at thirty the only thing remaining is the money. He has lost his family, his health, his good looks and his faith in God. Living as a recluse in the Mountains of Montana he has given up on life.
Samantha is thirty-five and recently widowed. Spending the last fifteen years in a marriage of convenience, to a man almost twenty years her senior, she now doesn’t even know who she is. It seems that her life had been on auto pilot, and though she dreams of another life, she can’t seem to find the way. Samantha has two things that keep her going, her daughter and her faith.
Savage Love is a story of love, hope and new beginnings. When two lives come together, seemingly by chance, both are transformed.
