I was given a copy of this book by the author, March McCarron, in exchange for an honest review. I really liked this book! It is great for the audience it was intended for, but also a good adult read as well. With strong lead characters, a good mystery and a lot to say about loyalty and friendship, the story captures your interest right away. I am looking forward to reading more from this author. Great YA Fantasy. I give this book 4 stars.

Book Review for “Hope’s Daughter by Melanie
Hope’s Daughter, Melanie Cusick-Jones is my kind of science fiction. In a futuristic society, on a space station, the young people’s lives are ordered for them, but all is not at it seems.I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be reading the rest of the series. Good writing and believable characters. I especially like that the book has some closer, while leaving the story open for the next book. I give this story 5 stars.
Book Review for “What to Do When Everything Falls Apart”-non-fiction
This little book by Van Crouch is a must read. It is a book that in very simple terms, shows you how to handle bad situations. I recommend it for every person who follows Jesus. It is simple enough for pre-teens, but is geared for adults. There is a bit of humor in his books, just like hearing him in person. A great gift idea for someone going through hard times, or in a dry place. I give this book a solid 5 stars.
Book Review for “Keeper of the Reign” -Fairytale/Fantacy for YA
The cover of this book is what caught my attention first, I just love it. Keeper of Reign is a delightful book for young people about Elfies (half elves, half fairies) who have shrunk in size due to a curse. Evil has come to the forest of Reign and Jules and his sibling have to find their missing parents, find the Books and free them all from the curse. This is an allegory based on the Bible. There are a few scriptures throughout, but not given as such, they are writings from the ‘Ancient Book.’ Good morals, a good storyline. I did think it was a little drawn out and obviously there is going to be a sequel. The story simply ended. I always prefer some type of cliff hanger, or some closer with each book in a sequel. But it was a good read. I recommend for ages 8-13. The characters range from sixteen to two. I give the book 3.5 stars due to the facts I mentioned above, well worth the .99 cents for the Kindle version on Amazon.
Book Review for “Crispens Point” Christian Romance
This was a nice read. Clean Christian romance with some good dating advice and morals for young girls. I thought the Pastor in the book, who happens to be one of the love interest a little odd. The book starts out pretty light, then takes a dramatic turn right at the end that I though was a little awkward. If your looking for a easy weekend read, this is it. I didn’t love it, but it was definitely worth the .99 I paid for it. I give it a solid 3 stars.
Book Review for “Seduction of the Scepter” adult fiction
I was given a copy of “Seduction of the Scepter” by the author, E. Rose Sabin, in exchange for an honest review. This story is told through journal entries by Lara, a young woman who is caught up in the intrigue of court life. I loved the historical feel of this novel. The story has Lara trapped between duty and desire. There are a few sex scenes, but not overly explicit and it is definitely adult content. I also have to mention that I loved the cover. I good read! I give it 4 stars.
Book Review for “The Hollowmen” -Dystopian
“The Hollowmen” Book 2 in the Hollows Series continues on with Remy, the strong female character. These are your typical zombie apocalypse dystopian books, and the first one didn’t have a lot of the zombie stuff in it. This one did. I am still enjoying the storyline, but this one had way more gore, swearing and added some sexual contents, including an almost rape. So for me, that was a little much. I wouldn’t recommend for readers under the age of 17. Its action packed, easy reading, not too deep and there is a small element of romance. I am giving this second book three stars. If you love all things zombie, this one’s for you.
