What a fun read! I like Regency Romance and this one was not your typical storyline. A modern, 21st century Jewish career woman is thrown into the past. What a mixed up event. If you like Regency, you’ll love it. I give it 4 stars. I really liked it. I was given a copy of this book, by Story Cartel, in exchange for an honest review. I can recommend this to everyone. No sexual content and no swearing.

Book Reviews for “Divergent”, “Insurgent”, and “Allegiant”- YA Dystopian Fiction
Divergent-
One of my new favorites! I so love this book. I know I will read it again. Dystopian at it’s finest. Easy writing style. Well rounded characters!! Flawed and real. There is violence, but no swearing or sexual content. Set in a futuristic society where people have been grouped by their character traits. I’d give it 6 stars if I could. That good. On to book two.
Insurgent-
At first I thought this one wasn’t as good as book one, but as I got farther along in the story, it was just as good! A great dystopian book set in Chicago. Society is set in “Factions” that dictate pretty much everything in your life. This story is about those who don’t fit the mold. More plot twists in this one. Looking forward to starting the final book. One of my new favorite authors. I give it 5 stars. No swearing and no sexual content. Just good drama and action, with some romance (the non-sappy kind) thrown in. Great read!
Allegiant-I finished the last book of the “Divergent” series! I loved this series. It was all about loyalty, sacrifice, love and human nature, the good and the bad. Veronica Roth is now one of my favorite authors and I will be looking for more from this author. I can recommend this book for High School age and up. No swearing, or sexual content, there is violence. I give it a solid 5 stars! (These books have to be read in sequence.)
Book Reivew for “Maebown (Weald Fae Journals #4)- Fantasy/Fiction
Loved it. Weald Fae Journals are all about modern day “fairies” (they prefer to be called Fae) and their interaction with humans. Specifically the O’Shea family. The final book! It was great. Much more battles and strategy, so if that isn’t your thing you may think it is a little boring in places. I actually like that stuff. The characters have held their own through the whole series. I still love the main character. A strong young woman, less that perfect, with a fierce loyalty to friends and family. I give it 5 stars. Great fantasy writing. Jr. High and up. No sexual content, mild swearing. I think there might have been a bit more of that in this last book.
Book Review for “The Janus Effect”- Fiction/Drama
I really liked “The Janus Effect.” I probably would have given it five stars, but the ending was a bit anti-climatic. Good story, the characters are likable and there is plenty of suspense. The writing style is easy to read and flows well. I will be reading more by this author. 4 stars from me. For high school age and up.
Book Review for “Be My Eyes”- Fiction
I loved this book. A great heartwarming story of courage and unlikely friendship. I give it a solid 5 stars. There were some issues with the kindle version, random numbers, text alignment, and some places that were missing double consonants, but those are all editing issues and do not affect the story at all. Great read! Going to be looking for more from this author.
Book Review for “Warwick”- Historical Fiction
I was given a copy of “Warwick” by the author, Tony Riches, in exchange for an honest review. I really liked this version. I have read several stories about the other players in the Wars of the Roses and this is the first time I have heard his story. Great historical content. A good representation of the politics of the Royal Courts. A Good read. I give it 4 stars and can recommend to European History lovers.
Book Review for “Dragon Slayer: Beginning” -Christian Fantasy
I was given a copy of “Dragon Slayer: Beginnings” by the author, Carey Green, in exchange for an honest review. Wow, loved it! Another great Christian author. Now I can’t wait for the next one! A wonderful story of heartbreak, sorrow, hope! Good writing, good character development and an inspirational story. Good for audiences of Jr High age and up. I give it a solid 5 stars. Well done.
