I have recently released two new Devotionals. “Higher Up” will be the last of the “Walking With God” series. “Look Up” is a short 21 day devotional to get your focus back on God. They are both available on Amazon, paperback and kindle version. “Higher Up” is also available on smashwords in every possible digital version available. Of course if you would like a signed copy, just let me know.
I was given a copy of “Walk Like A Warrior” by Story Cartel in exchange for an honest review. This is a true, inspirational story that reads a lot like a devotional. The author and her husband travel with their two horses and minister full time with music, riding, and just plain helping out and shining the light of Jesus. I love how honest this book is! She talks about her lack of faith, getting tired and even about “poop” which is part of the life of cowboys and cowgirls. I was very touched by many of the stories and found myself with Kleenex box in hand. As an added blessing there are tons of pictures of their travels and some wonderful scenery. I give it five stars and highly recommend it to Christians and Cowfolk alike. Good for teens and up.
I so loved this book. Derek Prince is one of my favorite authors. I have read many of his books. Not one of them deserved less than 5 stars, including “Through the Psalms with Derek Prince”. This one was a devotional. I usually have trouble with those as I want to read them through like a novel. But I did so much better with this one reading only one or two entries at a time. Each one is only two pages and the book is small, so not a ton of reading, but each one is packed with spiritual truth! He takes us through several Psalms to encourage and challenge us in our walk with God. Recommended for any age. It also makes a great gift!
This little book is a 52 week devotional. One devotion for each week. I have to admit I have some issues with daily and weekly books. I tend to read right through them. This one took me a few weeks, I made myself slow down. It is a very simple devotional. No great revelation, just one woman’s insight to the goodness of God. She does have a few pages with short stories about real “ordinary” people and their faith. I give it 3 stars. I like it.
